"Long before the burrito and taco craze..."
My family started selling Mexican food in Santa Barbara, CA in February of 1966. Their success expanded throughout California with more than 50 locations ranging from little taco shops to full service restaurants. I grew up in the booths and cooking in our kitchens. Play time was a milk crate on my skateboard getting pushed around restaurant parking lots. I spent my weekends checking on locations with my father and driving to Mexico with my grandfather in the summer. This time was used to teach me years of knowledge in the restaurant industry that I would not appreciate until later.
One summer day, I saw an ad for a drum set that would impact the rest of my life. Four years later I had learned to play the guitar, bass and formed a band with friends. We toured several years on the Warped Tour and traveled throughout the nation. While on the road, I recognized a need for real Mexican food outside of California. Wanting to bring my two passions together, I created Chino's Rock & Tacos. Chino's has historically proven quality recipes, rock music for all generations and prices that even a starving musician would love. I hope you enjoy Chino's Rock & Tacos!
