Once upon a time

 

Chino's flagship location opened in 2006 in San Luis Obispo, CA. Chicano's have created a subculture rich in historical Mexican traditions combined with present day American flare. Chino's design is a fusion of Chicano and Rock & Roll lifestyles. We promote the subcultures of music, skateboarding, art and urban Hispanic society. Our food captures the transformation Mexican food has taken from "Abuelitas" recipes to the healthier influenced recipes of today.

  • Our oil is donated to a bio-diesel company for recycling and reuse
  • Biodegradable packaging, if you get hungry enough you could eat it
  • Water and energy saving equipment and practices
  • Chlorine free napkins
  • Recycle glassware, cardboard, wax paper, paper bags, metal, paper just about anything we can
  • Only print receipts per request of the customer
  • Wash ware instead of paper ware, boats, foils and plastic utensils. Think of all the waste that goes into the trash after your last fast causal Mexican dining experience.
  • Local Fresh Produce
  • Seafood sustainability- Engage with the World Wildlife Fund and use products that support sustainable fisheries and the fisher who depend on them.
  • Maintain the highest code of ethics for animal welfare and only use products that are subject to a third party expert auditor to measure raising and handling practices
